Royal Mail has launched an ‘Open for Business Incentive’ which supports companies and brands impacted by the UK’s COVID-19 restrictions.

For businesses seeking cost-effective ways to reengage customers and prospects, this incentive could help you to manage the cost of direct mail. It could even open-up what was previously an unfeasible opportunity.

How it helps reduce direct mail costs

The incentive essentially reduces postage rates by allowing you to gain credits to use on future postings. On a mailing to 20,000 contacts, for example, this could equate to a saving of between £800 and £1,200.

It runs until 31 December 2020 and is available on Royal Mail’s Advertising Mail, Responsible Mail and Partially Addressed Mail services.

The criteria to join the scheme is quite broad too, encompassing a wide range of businesses and sectors, as well as permitted reasons to use it. For example, you could be a retailer looking to drive customers to your website to boost online sales, a charity seeking an uplift in donations or simply an organisation looking to reassure or thank customers in-light of the impact of COVID-19.

This incentive is also available through the Downstream Access providers. Full details and eligibility of the incentive can be found on the Royal Mail website.

Can we help?
