Spaceway delivers space saving projects to businesses. A design and build interiors contractor providing mezzanine, office and warehouse space solutions.

They are known as leading ‘mezzanine and workspace’ specialists in the UK and continuously challenge themselves to improve their services and processes.

The brief

Our aim was to support the business in improving lead generation and user experience on their website.

A key part of Spaceway’s plan involved developing an online quote calculator for their mezzanine floor service. After adding in dimensions and selecting design options, potential customers visiting their website could then instantly calculate the cost of creating the extra floor space they were seeking.

To further enhance the process, Rob McNicoll, a marketing consultant for Spaceway, advised that each quote calculator enquiry should be followed up with a personalised brochure that reflected the information which the prospect had specified on the website, along with their quotation.

This would require an automated, personalised print on demand process which hadn’t been done before, but that’s where RETHINK was able to step in and support.

Printing a brochure on demand is not a new concept, however automating the process to extract specific data from the website to personalise several brochure pages, then print and post it, was another matter.

Our solution enabled every prospect that uses the online quote calculator to receive a personalised, 16-page, quality brochure the next day. This could then be followed up with a telephone call and site visit.

As well as automated bespoke print on demand, RETHINK has also provided design, direct mail campaigns, brochure and leaflet printing, site signage, promotional items and storage of collateral for Spaceway.

Rob acknowledges that even as a marketing consultant, he has sometimes found print challenging to work with.
